Over 35 years ago a group of like-minded collectors of model vehicles met together for the first time (18^th January 1969) and formed a club with the aims:

	To promote interest in the hobby of model vehicle collecting.
	To promote talks by qualified persons on the design, construction, history and collecting of model vehicles.
	To purchase, publish and circulate literature dealing with model vehicle collecting, also model vehicle construction and related subjects, and to that end publish and control a library of such literature for the use of members.
	To provide facilities for the social contact of members.

Several of those collectors are still members of the club today!

Over the years many collectors have come and gone, some have introduced their children to the hobby (and the Club), some their grandchildren!
